Failed slab needs to come out without cracking the good one next to it? Old foundation in the way of new construction? Driveway apron crumbling and you don't trust the demo guy not to wreck the curb? We sawcut, score, and remove targeted concrete — surgically — and haul out 80% of debris for recycling. Site cleared in 24 hours, ready for the next pour the same week.
Most demo crews show up with a hoe-ram and start swinging. If you're tearing out an isolated slab in an empty field, fine — that works. If you're removing a 20-foot section of driveway between two pads you want to keep, swinging a breaker into a continuous slab telegraphs cracks 6–8 feet into the adjacent good concrete. Now you're paying to redo what you weren't planning to touch.
We start every demo with a sawcut. A clean sawcut isolates the removal area from everything you want to keep. The breaker can hit as hard as it needs to inside the cut line and the panels next door don't feel a thing. On heavily reinforced slabs we score in a grid pattern first, breaking the slab into manageable pieces before lifting them out — faster, quieter, and cleaner than brute force.
Selective concrete demolition done without breaking the surrounding good slab. Sawcut clean joint lines, score control breaks, remove targeted sections — driveways, sidewalks, garage approaches, foundation walls — so adjacent panels stay intact. Rebar cut, debris same-day haul-off.
Site clearing for new concrete and landscape work. Strip sod and topsoil, remove old hardscape, grub out roots and stumps, rough-grade to subgrade elevation. Leaves a clean, level pad ready for stone base, forms, and pour.
Demolition permits required for foundation removal and any work touching the ROW. We submit and track. Construction noise ordinance enforced 7 AM – 6 PM weekdays.
HOA approval frequently required even when city permits aren't. Carmel enforces dust-control plans on demo work — we pre-wet, use cutting water, and stage hauling to minimize tracking.
Old Town Noblesville historic district has additional review for any visible exterior demo. Westfield WeConnect portal handles permits.
Recycled concrete aggregate produced from our demo work meets INDOT spec for Class A and Class B subbase, and ASTM C33 size #57 stone equivalents.
